A few brave souls made it through the bone-chilling weather to make it to our last meeting, and we had a great time, but we’re hoping the weather will cooperate so we can see even more of you next time.

Given Spring Break and the fact that there seem to be so many conferences scheduled in March, we have a quick turnaround for our next meeting.  It will be Friday, March 6th at 3pm in State Hall 326.  And because of that quick turnaround and because a few of us liked Fledgling but didn’t finish it, we’re going to keep Fledgling by Octavia Butler as our book.  So, if you already read it, you are set.

As always, even if you don’t read the book, you are welcome to attend the meeting, and every level of fiber arts experience is welcome–from those interested in learning to experts in the arts of crochet and knitting.

Hope to see you on March 6th!

As we get ready for our next meeting…

I stumbled across this discussion of black history month by science fiction authors, and of course, Octavia Butler (our author for this month) gets a mention.

Open Road

Don’t forget our next meeting is Friday, February 20th at 3pm in State Hall 326.  We’ll be reading Octavia Butler’s Fledgling.  Hope to see you there!
